FAQs

Most outdoor saunas count as permitted development, much like a garden studio. Larger cabins, conservation areas, or listed buildings may need approval, so it’s worth checking before you order.

A solid, level, well-drained base. We recommend a reinforced concrete slab, paving, or a ventilated timber deck. This keeps the cabin stable and protects its insulation performance over time.

It depends on the size and heater. As a guide: smaller saunas (2 to 4 person) usually need a single-phase 230V supply, typically 16 to 25 amps; larger saunas (6 to 10 person or commercial) often need three-phase 400V, 20 to 32 amps per phase; wood-fired saunas need no electrical supply beyond optional lighting or accessories. We confirm the exact requirement with every quote, so your electrician can prepare the right supply.

Every sauna is a modular kit designed for straightforward assembly, and many clients fit it themselves to save on cost. Professional installation is available from £1,200 to £4,000 + VAT depending on the model and complexity, covering full assembly, wiring, and weatherproofing.

They’re built for year-round use. Thermally treated timber, insulated wall panels, and weatherproof cladding keep them performing through every season, with only simple upkeep such as oiling the exterior and sealing the glass joints.
